Alpha Divine Retreat is a dedicated retreat residency centre nestled within the Serra da Estrela Mountains - Portugal's highest mountain range and a UNESCO Global Geopark. We exist to give retreat facilitators a permanent, reliable base from which to build a thriving retreat business, and to give guests a setting unlike anywhere else in Europe.

Our Vision

Our vision is simple: to create one of Europe's most exceptional retreat environments and make it available to the facilitators and guests who need it most.

We believe that the best retreat experiences happen when the facilitator is fully present - not stressed about venue availability, logistics or rising costs. The Residency Programme exists to remove those obstacles entirely, so that the work can be what it always should have been: transformational.

Our Philosophy

Alpha Divine Retreat is built on the belief that place matters. That the land beneath your feet, the air in your lungs and the silence around you are not incidental to the retreat experience - they are fundamental to it.

Serra da Estrela has been a place of healing, pilgrimage and deep connection for centuries. The ancient granite, the crystal-bearing rock formations, the vast open skies and the extraordinary stillness of the mountains create conditions that are genuinely rare. We have built our retreat centre here deliberately, and we protect the integrity of this space with equal deliberateness.

This is not a party venue. It is not a corporate away-day location. It is a space held for transformation - and everything we do is in service of that.

The Alpha Divine Experience

Set within the breathtaking landscape of Serra da Estrela, the retreat centre offers seven guest rooms accommodating up to 16 guests, a dedicated 24ft × 24ft two-floor practice building, fully equipped kitchen, outdoor gathering areas and sweeping mountain views in every direction.

Whether your practice is rooted in yoga, meditation, breathwork, cold water immersion, coaching, ceremony, sound healing or creative work - the venue is designed to hold it. We work with facilitators across a wide range of modalities and our goal is to ensure you have everything you need to create an extraordinary experience for your guests.

The Venue & Setting

The retreat centre sits within one of the most extraordinary natural environments in mainland Europe. Designed specifically for transformational work, every aspect of the property - from the separate practice building to the private mountain-facing outdoor spaces - has been considered with care.

Accommodation

Seven guest rooms accommodate up to 16 guests across a range of configurations. Two large rooms offer a triple king layout that can split into singles or a double and single. Five further rooms offer double beds, with four featuring private ensuite bathrooms and one sharing a beautifully appointed communal bathroom. The layout gives facilitators flexibility to offer different rooming options depending on their retreat model and price point.

The Practice Space

A separate 24ft × 24ft building houses two floors of flexible retreat and practice space, fully independent from the guest accommodation. Suitable for yoga, meditation, breathwork, workshops, ceremonies, sound healing, movement practices and private treatment rooms. The physical separation from the living quarters creates a clear boundary between rest and practice - a distinction that deepens the quality of every session held within it.
